Charlie为了救Tess违背了跟Sam的约定，但是Sam谅解他，不过Charlie以后都看不见Sam了。Charlie把Tess救回来了，可是Tess的记忆中跟Charlie以前的相识都认为是梦，Tess并没有接受Charlie，当Charlie说出：Trust your heart,if the seas catch fire.And live by love though the stars walk backward.这句话时，Tess接受Charlie了。虽然Charlie看不见Sam了，但是他跟Sam心灵相通，彼此永存心中。
